Meet Our Founder
BOBBY BLAND
Bobby has taken an unlikely path to where he is now. Bobby’s mother moved from Hawaii to California where she met his father in Simi Valley, California. Bobby was born on October 22, 1975, and raised in the city of Moorpark, California.
BOBBY ON MAUI
Bobby moved to Hawaii after graduating from high school. In 2007, he started working with, ‘The Hawaiian Superman,’ Mark Soon of Imua Builders. Bobby later met Brett Cassidy while working on Brett’s home in Wailea. They had similar goals.
Bobby and Brett opened a shop in Kihei specializing in concrete restoration, epoxy flooring systems and waterproofing installations. Bobby was handling estimates and sales for the business. Eventually, Cassidy Coatings came to an end on Maui. Since that time, Bobby has worked and specialized in many other areas of construction, including solar installation. His diversified experience enhances his hardscape specialization.

The Dawn of Maui Hardscapes
In 2018 Bobby started Maui Hardscapes. Bobby has a new sense of clarity and vision. Maui Hardscapes exists to provide for his family and contribute to the Maui community by helping local families and businesses get the best quality installations.
More About Our Founder
Bobby’s Aunty and waterwoman legend, Patty Rycroft introduced him to canoe paddling. Bobby is not only a master of hardscapes, but waterscapes as well. He has steered for Hawaiian Canoe Clubs Open Mens Division for many years including regatta and long distance seasons. Bobby loves paddling in the ocean with some of his closest friends and family. He has experienced many canoe state championships and very challenging long distance races including the Molokai Hoe.
Bobby’s daughter Lei Ana now follows in the legacy of her Aunt, having nearly won a statewide canoe race and completing several inner island paddles. Bobby is grateful to share his passion for paddling with his daughter and his stepson Waikili. He looks forward to beach days with his Ohana. He also is the head coach of the Dino Volcanoes, his son’s soccer team. He is also a sold-out Dodgers fan.
